Could you please print in the next issue the correct authorities to inform about street/park lighting. I am sure I am not the only person aware of this ongoing situation. Let's make sure it doesn't take a victim of crime (i.e. mugging or worse) before anything is done about this very dark situation. |

I would not usually include two letters form the same person but your second one has a point that may not have been raised before. However it was reported at the last Quarterly meeting that the Road Calming scheme is now at the audit stage and all correspondence relating to the scheme are with the ‘Independent Safety Auditor’. Unfortunately no new comments can be added. |

If you spot a problem with a street light or illuminated traffic sign, please call the fault centre on 0808 1003118. Just tell them where the lamp is, and if possible give the number of the column (which is usually stencilled on the side facing the road). If possible, please give a description of the full fault, such as lamp out, day burning, intermittent fault, vandalism etc. |
