A reminder of summer.

Our car boot fares are always a success in terms of both numbers who come and browse and those who pay to sell. The Association’s finances benefit from such events by both sales of items from our stall and from seller’s entry money. This year the over £500 was made, a big thank you to everyone who helped.

The Association is independent taking no money from any institution, our funds come from coffee mornings, the car boot sale and of course your subscriptions. Even though the collectors deliver the Clarion, we still have to pay for printing, on top of which are room rentals for our meetings, insurance and all the other incidentals that make The Peacehaven and District Residents’ Association the success that it has been for so many years.

Letter to the Editor.

You are excelling yourselves I have letters from 2 correspondence – keep them coming!

Dear sir,

To everyone who uses the park next to the Meridian Centre, when oh when will the 6 lights be turned back on in this park? One of them is leaning dangerously and the next gales could easily topple it over onto someone.

I complained about the very same lights last year and they were repaired or replaced but it seems the local youths didn't like their dope smoking to be viewed for all and sundry to see so they have yet again vandalised them. I know Peacehaven doesn't have muggers roaming the parks but it would make people (especially the elderly!) feel more secure at night when walking through on the way to the Meridian Centre!
